In Bill Burnett's product design course, we were given three weeks to create our own lamp. We first developed two different design directions, received critique, and then went for the design that we thought was stronger. Here is my final product, whisp.
DESIGN DIRECTION
Materials: Music wire, tissue paper, LED 200 lm
Time: 3 weeks
Inspired by clouds and artist Berndnaut Smilde, whisp is a nightstand lamp
that provides a subtle, gentle, and calming atmosphere for the
bedroom environment. Please see below for my design process.
